Abigail Dace – Ethereal Material – The Gallery at Willesden Green

Posted in Arts, Events, New Works, SFSA Members by Second Floor Studios & Arts on July 8, 2010

SFSA member Abigail Dace will be exhibiting new works as part of Ethereal Material, a group exhibition that explores how the artists respond to material characterized by unusual delicacy and high refinement – The Gallery at Willesden Green.

Abigail Dace uses traditional craft techniques to create 3D sculptures. Her works map tensions in space, creating an inner shape reliant on the outer form but independent from it. They illustrate the fragility of existence and the need to individually interpret our boundaries to form who we are. If a boundary is removed the inner form must reassess its own position and shape.
