The Blackheath sculptor, Caroline Summerfield has been selected to take part in a major sculpture show in the Cotswolds

The Blackheath sculptor and SFSA studio member Caroline Summerfield has been selected to take part in a major sculpture show in the Cotswolds, featuring works by over 100 sculptors. The  Affordable Garden Sculpture Show takes place at Showborough House from Thursday 21st April until Sunday 12th June 2011, 10.30am until 400pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays. The Affordable Garden Art Competition will be judged this year by Emily Pegues. Emily is from the Department of Sculpture and Decorative Arts at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.

Caroline works in stone and bronze and her sculpture The Family Group (pictured above) will be on show in the grounds of Showborough House. The sculpture is a stone casting available in an edition of eight.   

The Affordable Garden Art Exhibition was started in 2008. Prizes are award for the most outstanding work, including a People’s Prize. Showborough House is conveniently located close to the A38, M5 and M50, three miles from Tewkesbury.
